Shikishima Park exhibits many different plants and is particularly famous for its 2,000 rose bushes, featuring some 200 different varieties of roses, which bloom from late May to mid June. The park also features a tropical plant and cactus greenhouse. |

Lake Nozori is a man-made lake located in the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. It is 1,514 m above sea level and has a circumference of around 12 km. The area also features brilliant highland flowers such as Japanese azaleas and nozorikisuge. |
This observatory is equipped with various telescopes including one of Japan's largest reflector telescopes with a diameter of 150 cm. The observatory is popular among a wide range of people, from children to astronomy enthusiasts alike. |

Bokyo no Yu is a public hot spring bathhouse located within the Michi no Eki Shirasawa leisure complex. It offers a scenic view of Mt. Akagi, and wild mountain vegetables are available at the gift shop on the premises. |
This hot spring resort is located on the shore of Lake Akaya. Sarugakyo flourished as a postal station town with a checking station and during the Edo period, and a number of historic sites can therefore be found within. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and boating on the lake. |
